Berkeley Paths as Escape Routes!
Date & time: Wednesday, March 8th from 7-9pm
Location: Fire Department Training Center at 997 Cedar Street (between 8th and 9th Streets).
Join Berkeley CERT (Emergency Preparedness Team) as the BPWA gives an illustrated presentation on how the 136 public stairways and paths can be used as emergency escape routes in case of fire, earthquake or other disaster. We will discuss the history of the paths, how they are built, the importance of maintaining these vital pedestrian corridors, and how neighborhood CERT leaders can help keep their paths clear. The CERT Meeting will be held at the Fire Department Training Center at 997 Cedar Street (between 8th and 9th Streets).
