YOUR DONATIONS HELP PATHS!
Your help is vital in the continuation of our path building and maintenance efforts. Even though our labor is free — thanks to our tireless volunteers — the materials we need to build and repair paths require significant expenditures. Each wooden step that we install with rebar costs about $25. A path with a 50-foot rise requires 100 steps. Handrails are the most expensive items on our wish list. The one on Lower Columbia Path shown above was over $16,000; others can cost twice that much.
The sale of our maps and other merchandise help with these costs, but we still rely on the generosity of our donors to build more paths, maintain existing ones, and purchase handrails.
