Meet at the start of the paved Nimitz Way trail. Ample parking and restrooms are available at the trailhead.

March 8 is the first day of daylight savings time! Bring your flashlight, a snack, and an extra layer for an out-and-back sunset hike from Inspiration Point to Wildcat Peak in Tilden Park. We will walk along the Nimitz Way trail (mostly flat and paved, with a short but somewhat steep 0.25-mile climb on a dirt trail up to Wildcat Peak). The dirt trail may be muddy and the peak can be windy and chilly at this time of year, so please choose your footwear and clothing accordingly. At the top we will take some time to watch the sunset and enjoy sweeping views of the hills, San Francisco, and the North Bay before walking back down in the dark. Feel free to bring a snack and beverage to enjoy at the peak.
