BPWA at the Solano Stroll

The Solano Stroll was a resounding success! Solano Avenue was full of happy families, couples, and friends. Bands played at every corner, children lined up for carnival rides, and dancers had appreciative audiences. There was even a man juggling knives while balancing precariously on a board!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the BPWA booth to share their favorite paths and stories, from a proposal at Indian Rock to walking every path as a fun family activity during Covid. We enjoyed connecting with people who view the paths as places to exercise, socialize on the weekend, or take a shortcut to their favorite cafe. We were also delighted to see merchandise fly off the shelf! Bandanas, maps, and T-shirts were quite a hit. 

People who hadn’t heard of the paths were happy to learn about our free monthly guided walks, and opportunities to volunteer with our path builders and work parties.  

Join us for a walk this month as the weather becomes cooler and the fall foliage bursts out in brilliant cranberry, orange, and toasty hazelnut hues. We’d love to see you!
